Vienna-Hub is partly.... an umbrella organisation ... ( providing ) both a "water-cooler" for people no longer in corporate employ, and the type of ( virtual - team ) departmental functions you'd expect in a corporate to help you manage and develop your career, get you off the bench as a consultant or help you sell your products, and allow you to focus on your core competencies whatever they are. "staffed" by a virtual team of real specialists/professionals/consultants largely now operating their own portfolio careers, they consider themelves here to help you on a global or local basis as appropriate( often offering their services at special rates to other members ) , since those services are in fact their own core competences.

The English Room - funtime - revised version of the old Vienna Thursday Playgroup and its forerunner - regular slots for "doing stuff in English" - initially Sunday mornings in Mödling
Women with Passion - success teaming - based on GOST (TM) and drawing on other successful models such as mastermind groups, http://www.shersuccessteams.com/basics.htm , etc. - regular group meetings in small clusters with a facilitator, along with quarterly city meetings ... - encouraging members to take and help others take "one step" forward each day
First Tuesday Vienna - "ideas meet money" - 3 events planned for 2009 ... perhaps:- at ITnT in February for IT ideas, in April a matchmaking event along lines of Dragons Den etc, in October a networking event
